Been finding some incredible holsters and belts around online, especially liking Andrew's and nightingale ... But the dollar makes $250 turn into a nightmare.

Anyone in Canada on par with that kind of workmanship?

Well do you want to pay for the price those guys quoted and wait 28 weeks before they even start on your product? Sometimes the Smaller playing feild gives you better prices and better quality workmanship. Just saying. Some guys out there believe in helping keep prices affordable for the Average Joe... Doesn't mean they are less quality. Hope you find what your looking for. Obviously I wouldn't be able to help you out. I come no where near their prices...

Oh and on another note.. I can honestly say we have never had to restitch anything we made. But we have had calls to restitch other brands. So more expensive is not always better.. Good Luck in your search..

We've got a local fella that does some nice work. Shows up at many of the monthly HACS shows and will certainly be at the big one coming up soon. Most of his stuff on display comes across more as the black powder "mountain man" style leather work but he's done some modern stuff and some cowboy action rigs.

And now you want to know the name he works under. And that's where I have to apologize and say that I've either never gotten or I've lost his card. But HIS name is Mark. Look for him at the big show at Heritage Park coming up later this month.

It all depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for an extremely high end holster, you will pay a lot no matter where you get it from. Someone like Joe at Laroche Leathers makes leather products that are a really good bang for the buck. I got a cartridge slotted cowboy belt and a single holster for less than $250 about 5 years ago. The holster is not lined, and it does not have the metal insert at the opening, but it is still a really nice rig; I showed it to some guys at the range and he sold 3 more in a year. My daily belt is one of his normal holster belts; he also made a sheath for my SOG mulitool and a little pouch for my iron ring and wedding ring so that I did not damage the finish on my guns when shooting.

Also, I carry a titanium handled Benchmade as my EDC knife in my watch pocket in my jeans; it rides against my belt. After 7 years, it wore through the stitching. I told him about it and he restitched the area for me free of charge, even though he said that was the first time he had ever had to :).

Oh I forgot to mention I have never had him take more than 2 weeks for anything; I have had calls within 36 hours that my gear is ready.

I have not talked to Joe in probably 8 months; he was not great, but better than he had been. It is always touch and go with him, but he keeps working away like mad when he can.

I had a holster made by Mark last year, good guy. Beaver mountain works is the name. He did an amazing job. I could talk about what a great job he did, but pictures will do the talking for me.

He lives very close to you, OP.

Also, you can check my thread, I posted pictures of the holster he made for my Webley.

Kuddlygemini is great to deal with, and accommodating on hard to find configurations. Priced and built very nicely. Any questions, feel free to pm with any q's
