I'm very interested in the match in Medicine Hat, has the current MHRRC Executive & Directors (elected Jan 2016) been notified of the match yet? Who is your coordinator, since the club Director of Action Shooting , knows nothing about this.

Hello, I have emailed to register. I'd like to lock a spot. It's tricky to make arrangements with work to have the time, so I'd like to make sure I have a spot before I make arrangements. Thanks!

Any other dates for the rest of the season yet? Also I believe you have to join 3gun nation as well to shoot? Could you please give the details on that for those not in the loop.

Hi All, I'll try to answer your questions in order.

Re: Dates - Send me a PM and I can give you a list of tentative dates, basically we have at least one 3 Gun Nation match a month until November and some training dates thrown in there as well. In addition to regular 6-8 stage qualifiers we plan to run two larger matches, one in the summer one in the fall. We have our dates set and have ranges booked but are not going full public with the list until we finish checking them, we try to ensure they don't interfere with other events around the province but some overlap can't be avoided. If you need a list right now and 90% sure is good enough to plan your summer I can PM you one if you accept there might be a tweak here or there. The official list will be available at the end of this month.

Re. Open Spots - We are initially accepting 24 seats and a waiting list from that number on. I am actually at a conference this weekend and haven't been in touch with the Mothership yet this morning, but I believe there was still four spots available on Monday.

Re. 3 Gun Membership. Please - read carefully - You can shoot the course one of two ways. If you want to shoot the official 3 Gun Nation Match and have your scores count toward 3 Gun Nation's stats etc. you must be a 3 Gun Nation Member. If you are not a member of 3GN your scores will count toward Chinook Country Shooters Club's (Host Club's) award system (awards for Best Time, Top in Division etc.) you do not need to be a member for this option. Both options follow the same rules, shoot the same course, same day, same start times etc. PM me if you need it explained more than that.

Re. Keep me informed - You can join our mailing list that will get you info to your mailbox on all upcoming events by visiting the Chinook Country Shooters Club's Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/Chinook-Country-Shooters-Club-123218617738532/ The Chinook Country Shooters Club Facebook page will also update with information about PPC, IPSC, 3 Gun Nation, 'Outlaw' matches etc. They focus mostly on restricted firearm based sports and activities in Southern Alberta so it's worth visiting.

Re. 308 (not at the upcoming match, sorry, but at some future matches yes) regarding.300 Blackout specifically, I'll have to double check the range approval tables as I don't have the info with me this morning, and they don't automatically lump all.30 cal bullets together. I'll call one of the partners and get them to check and should have an answer for you my tonight (Friday or Sat morning at the latest) PM me if you want to hold a spot pending the answer to this question.

I hope that catches everything, Post or PM me for anything else and I will check between sessions today.

Cheers

The answer to the question (7.62x.39) is yes and it's good to go on the LFGA ranges as long as it's not steel (won't stick to the magnets) for our range approvals it's treated as being in the same family as .223/5.556.

And just to clarify, pistol is the same as rifle for paper targets? 1 in the center neutralizes, but need 2 if outside the center?

Fun stuff. Thanks to all who organized, set up and ran. Really appreciated the patchers. Would be willing to pay a little extra to have them around all the time.
