How does adding a rubber slip on grip make the mags drop free? Does the bottom edge of it push on the magazine baseplate or something?

I done that straight away on mine..ages ago, like a T97 grip as well, yes, feels better. I think it's pretty common practice on those sh*tty feeling grips. I wouldn't really call slipping a grip slip on a grip, a MOD. Guess it is of sorts, like when guys throw on a Tapco Stock & mag, then a clamp on muzzle brake on their SKS & call it a Build...lol..Gets me every time. .

weird I never had any mag drop issues with mine. all my mags are genuine glock, maybe that's the difference? dunno.

I guess the "mod" isn't the rubber slip on grip its the side effect of allowing the mags to drop free. Fixed the title anyways.

Ahh, you didnt need to 'fix' it, I'm just being light hearted about it . One thing for anyone with a S2k, watch the Mag release screws! Put some blue loctite on them. If you have any problems with the mags catching etc. Check the screws! I had one come out.. the mag was a b*tch to insert.. & Yes, the grip, is cheap, you can see the 'Split', where it comes together, on mine it was off, but putting a Pachmayr slip on it, helped all around.

My kci mags don't drop free-never have. My glock mags drop free-always have. I was fearful of the pistol grip splitting apart, so I used a hogue hand-all. It fits and feels great but no improvement with the kcis
