How hard is it to get a Sig 556 SWAT lower in Canada?

I am speaking about the lower, not the upper or a complete rifle which are the controlled parts

Did the laws change? The receiver with the trigger group is usually the controlled part for the longest I can remember...

does it not need a serial number to be controlled? if coming from US it needs a importer to exit US

It's not always the same, on a whole bunch of guns the upper is the controlled part. Swiss Arms, Bushy ACR for example.


As for getting the lower, I'm not 100% sure the 556 lower fits onto the Swiss Arms upper without modifying the lower, but if it does then IrunGuns should be able to get a lower in for you. They're a SIG dealer in the USA, so they should be able to get a part for you and import it!
