CZ rifle ####

I'm kind of surprised CZ centerfire rifles aren't more popular in Canada. Their pistol is pretty much king of the pistol club. The Brno/452/453/455 is highly regarded as the best value in a .22 bolt action. Their 512 is the most reliable and accurate semi auto .22LR and .22WMR out there. The shotgun's (not made by them but has their name on it) is the best lower end over/under shotguns out there. With this much popularity, why are their centerfire rifles not as popular? They're priced at the cost of a Sako A7 but its a 10 times better gun. I don't understand. I guess people like cheap ####. Or in the Sako A7's case, expensive ####.

10 times better, really ? lolll

I have very llittle clearance with the eyepiece on my CZ452 as well.

I think the worse scope you can mount on a CZ is a Nikon just because the eyepiece is so big.

Anyone tried the DLASK CZ 527 bolt handle ?
They claim it give a little more clearance.

I have one of them. Without measuring I would estimate it gains you about .25 to .5 of a cm more clearance right where the bolt bends. Not a ton, but can make all the difference.

Thanks,
Cal.

What caliber is this beauty?

I've been down with the flu since I received my 527 in 7.62. My rings and extra mag showed up (thanks again Prophet), so I decided to mount up a Zeiss Terra 4-12x42mm that is new and just laying around. The scope is a warranty replacement as the first Terra only lasted 8 months on my K31 before shaking loose, so I wasn't sure what I would use it for - but it fits this carbine quite well.

Hopefully I can get out to the range in the next few weeks and dial this in.

Last year's buck. Shot him at 30 feet walking towards me, quartering on. 9.3 x 62. Hit him with a 286 grain Hornady. The bullet lodged in his hind quarter after going through him lengthwise. I can't believe that he still ran 80 yards before expiring. He left a significant blood trail. A blind man could have followed him with a cane. There were pieces of deer falling off as he ran. I have a Boyd's laminate on it. This rifle is a keeper.

Who's your buddy there? A black and tan?

The dog's name is Hunter. She chases deer, but didn't chase that one. I got him on an oak ridge. Remembrance Day. 10:00AM. The only buck I saw out of 2 weeks of hunting. Great time. 234 days to go.

I'm surprised at the huge price difference between several stores with regard to the rim fire models.
Still shopping for a .22 but not wanting to pay an arm and a leg..

Mein Gott. This otta set the enviro's off in a flash.f:P: Can't blame 'em either.

Couldn't agree less ... probably should stop posting hunting photos, black rifles, suppressors and pistol photos as well ... somebody is and will always be offended ... however I wouldn't post these types of photos on FB or social media, as I don't believe in poking bears either! Once we stop posting the above short list pretty sure the greenies, enviros and antis can declare victory and go home.
