Any thought of importing the YMA-95 scope, or at least a scope that will fit on the original rail on the T97 carry handle?

If not, where can I get one in China? I'd get one next time I go there.

A guy in Calgary was selling them out of his garage a while back.
Haven't heard anything about him recently??
Anyone know him?

The very few gen1 qzb95 scopes ever show up in the Western market, were most likely to be the stolen properties from pla warehouse. So far as i know, the trooper who involved with this, still serving his jail time.

oh yeah, I haven't heard from him for a while, a guess now we know why....

His website is now a shell. No contact number, no nothing. I read somewhere he brought some back with him every time he came back from China. I asked around one in of the markets I hang around in when I'm in Beijing, and the shop vendors who sell scopes (knock-offs and OEM rejects) didn't want to get involved as, according to them, trading in military equipment could land them in jail.

Since the PLA is now planning on replacing the QBZ-95 with an 5.8mm AR-15 style rifle for the infantry, there has to be a gazillion of these scopes that will become surplus.

It must be possible for the Chinese exporter to get an export permit for these scopes, as they do with military style rifles.

PLA is not replacing 95 any time at all. The "5.8 ar style rifle" is just a wild rumor.

So here is the e-mail I got back from Emei when asking for an update on availability:

"we have shipped some samples to Canada, I don't know whether if the importer get RCMP resting report now. The batch production may be wait a few months."
