Gunsmith to build trapper 1892

I can't believe that people still have to ask this question .
And than question the answer.

Who's questioning the answer?? I just stated that the laws about cutting vs new manufacture are a crock of BS. I'll stand by that statement. And I asked for a gunsmith not whether it was legal or not. Read the post.

Rules are based on ideology not any kind of thoughtful process. This is what you end up with, you want a Trapper, a factory can make it, a new barrel can be added to make it, but no trimming a bit off the end, that would be...well I'm not sure, but bad.

Of course these rules are a crock of crap.
But the fact remains that no gunsmith will brake the law because some one wants them to cut a barrel.
I did read the post.
Cutting a barrel is not manufacting , even if you are licenced.
You can of course install any barrel on a gun that is not too short for that class of gun.
A 4 inch barrel can be replaced with a longer one , no problem, The RCMP will want the 4 in when the gun is registered as restricted.
I get guys want to do all kinds of strange stuff, that would be neat, But I am too old to spend time in court.
