This came installed in a used Remington 1100 I just picked up. I want to say Browning Invector based on my research? If so then any Mossberg 500 threaded choke will also be interchangeable? Does that mean all the Mossberg Accu-chokes?

Love to see a pic of the 1100 barrel that came out of. Not saying it didnot but I have never seen an old 1100 barrel thick enough to take a standard invector tube safely.
Was the barrel cut back by any chance or does that tube not fit flush in the barrel. What length barrel is it and what choke was it originally stamped with from remington
Cheers

It was a 28" fixed mod choke 1100 barrel with a vent rib. It has been cut to 21" and threaded for this style of choke. It is definitely a little thin at the muzzle end but seems to be ok. I haven't fired it yet.

Ok. I figured it had to be cut back. Just be careful and try some light loads of small lead shot first like 7 1/2 or 9 then check it
I have honestly never seen one of these fitted in a old rem. Honestly didnot think even with the cut back there would be enough material in the barrel
Keep an eye on it for sure especially if you are going to put any steel shot through it
Cheers

What should I be keeping an eye out for?

Cracking / damage on the barrel where it threads in, cracking of the choke tube , making sure it says snug and in place . Metal chipping off or flaking on the end of the barrel, barrel deforming where choke is inserted like this thin model 12 installation, or where it seats like this one that was too thin and bulged/split, thread deformation etc
Just keep a close eye on it
Cheers

Whoa! Ok, I will keep an eye out. Mine is pretty thin at the muzzle, it wasn't the neatest chop job but looks like it should function fine. I bought this one to be a workhorse, not to look pretty. Thanks for the info!
