I do have a 4-12X40 Leupold just sitting in a box so maybe that one.

Really? ......... That would be about the last choice I'd put on a 375. Not like it's a sniper rifle, so the VX3 1.5-5 was a FAR better choice.

Yeah, the laminate is real nice, I keep swapping back and forth, but with that CGN-disapproved scope I need to shave weight somewhere and the McSwirly is a full lb lighter.

I see you picked up on that atrocity of a misnomer. "Cartridge" it is then. And the Sako comes with a "clip", which the Ruger doesn't. Another bonus.

Lol, yeah I did. As the proud new owner of a Ruger Alaskan(still waiting for it to arrive in the mail) chambered in, yes you guessed it, 375 Ruger, I just had to be a smart ass and throw that out there. Though my interest in the cartridge came about more from the rifles chambered in it rather than any perceived superiority of the cartridge itself over the 375 H&H(though I do enjoy reading the comments from the supporters of both..." insert dancing banana here").

I couldn't resist the appeal of an affordable, quality short barreled rifle chambered in the ballistic equivalent of the time tested and proven 375 H&H round, I think it will fill my needs perfectly. Those Sako's are really nice though, a person need only look at one and the appeal is readily evident. More than I'd personally want to spend on a gun that I plan to use hard and a bit longer barrel than I want but these are matters of personal preference, no flies to be found on that rifle/cartridge in my opinion, or the Ruger options for that matter.

Hey wilbar, the mounts are leupold QD. The rings are 30mm. Front one is a extension ring to give me more adjustment.

NICE !!! I love my Sako rifles...all model 75's SS and a few Greywolf's. Should be a great Grizzly knockdown caliber for sure.

IMO, I prefer the Optilocks....give the Ringmounts setup a try.
