Whose ready for goose season??? also just for fun, kind of semi shotgun you use.

Beretta Xtreme unico A400 26" barrel max 5 camo.....Trulock chokes on there way as well. Or my 3.5" Browning A5 in Shadow Grass camo...

DIGGER2, how you like your A5?

Pretty nice gun, no issues, I shoot it well. It's pretty light so if you want to feed it 3.5" shells a lot, it's best to buy a bottle of Advil. 3" shells are non issue. I bought my A400 for my 3.5" shooting. The A5 is for 3" mostly, with the 3.5 option if I so choose. I sold my A5 3" version to my brother-in law. Again it's been a solid gun for me and him.

Smith& Wesson model 1000 bought it in 100 mile house around 1980 I had it out this morning for geese but it was raining and blowing so hard they were all grounded elsewhere

My goose gun is a Winchester Model 12 pump. Never craved a semi or more speed. Three dead in the air is good enough for me. I have noticed that my friends who use semis can miss a little quicker. ;-)

May as well chime in. I'm running a browning gold light 10 GA I picked up brand new.....oh...wait...no I'm not because it's gone back to browning again. Guess I'll stick to my Remington 870 SPS 3" 12 gauge. That ol pump gun has killed more birds than most semis have missed.
That being said run what your heart desires whether it's a pump, semi, double, single or bolt. Get out n play.

Weatherby SA-08. Very light shotgun with a narrower forend, more like a rifle, not beefy like a shotgun normally is (I find). Only had a chance to try it on a couple flocks this past year, but when I did my part it did its part... and when I didn't do my part, well, you know how that story goes! :p

I believe it starts in a few days here in southern SK. I'll have to look it up...you got me thinkin's now!

Browning Maxus for myself.

I'm sure this will ruffle some feathers and some will get butthurt, but you couldn't pay me to own a remington pump or semi, or any remington in general. I absolutely can't stand their shotguns, especially the overrated 870 and the fanboys that come with them.

I use an SX-3 for waterfowl. I have owned a SBE11, and an A400, but I prefer the SX-3. The most important criteria in selecting a shotgun, is finding one that fits you. Anyone that purchases a shotgun without considering fit, is clueless as far as shotguns are concerned.

re: "pump vs semi debate" No debate here, I only stated what works for me. I think people should shoot whatever they like or can physically handle. I like pumps. And I handle them well. Not everyone does. I just haven't seen any of my hunting companions demonstrate the superiority or efficiency of a semi.
