Colt SAA BB revolver

I got the pellet version this week and my first group from my recliner was five into a quarter at 15 feet. For the money you can't go wrong. A couple of things I would change, but overall quite the best air pistol I've seen in terms of reproduction. The bb version looks the same, but why not go for the few extra bucks and get better accuracy and a harder hitting airgun?

If I'm not mistaken, there is only 1 version of the gun, the dummy bullets that hold the BB/Pellet may be different? Can anyone confirm?

I did some Google research over the weekend and there are actually four versions of this SAA. There are two BB models, one in black and the other nickel. Then there are two .177 pellet versions, both in nickel finish but one is a John Wayne model.

My understanding is that you can use pellets in the bb version if you push them into the cartridge farther than recommended. The pellet version however is rifled barrel and I have no trouble at all using pointed pellets. This is possible because the design departs significantly from other Umarex revolvers. As I said before, for twenty bucks xtra or so you can have the better gun. On the other hand, perhaps folks just like bb guns, so go for it.

Where did you find the one with the rifled barrel for pellets?

Droopy, D&l Airguns in Vancoocoo. Also, further to pellet design, more shooting on my part has shown that the H&N pointed pellets I have are drastically better in terms of group size than any of the dome or wadcutters I tried. Nice.
