"New" technology like the Hornady 325 gr FTX

Heard yesterday at Cabelas that you can't reload that cartridge shown. Anyone with experience care to explain? Something about the brass being cut down?
Thanks

You can buy the component bullets, but I have also heard something about Hornady brass being shorter. If you stick with Hornady brass for these rounds you should be ok. I don't care what Hornady says, I will never trust a pointy bullet in a heavy recoiling lever gun, but that's just me (yes I'm old)Heard yesterday at Cabelas that you can't reload that cartridge shown. So basically the FTX just needs to reloaded with the same bullet. Is that what you mean?
I thought the cases themselves were a one use thing from what he said.
I have been loading it for years, however, I load it as it was designed....with blackpowder. Never had a problem getting components, but I do cast my own bullets. IMHO, many beautiful Classics used this cartridge, using Holy Black just enhances the experience.
I do the same, however I occasionally use a duplex charge. .
My rifle is the Browning 1885 BPCR & I shoot the Lyman 457125 & 457658 both shoot very well in this rifle
