Took out the Lapua today for the first time. Wow<what a rifle.
Shooting .5inch groups 100 meters and many bullets went through the same hole with factory ammunition . My shooting partner was able to do the same thing. I got to tell ya, when that rifle speaks everybody listens. The sound is deafening with the muzzle brake
even with ear muffs on, and the sound pressure goes right through your body. The Cadex Patriot duel strike in 338 Lapua is da bomb. The recoil is not bad at all. it is more of a push than sharp slap to the shoulder. Thank goodness I reload, them 7 dollar bills you feed it gets expensive fast.

I have seen very little about the Cadex products really. It would be great if we saw a full fledged review, comparison to other high-end rifle systems (ie, PGW, AI, TRG). Wink wink.

I would very much love to buy a Canadian made product.

No pictures from the day at the range?!

I'd be curious to know your reloading costs without actually doing the work myself. I know the projectiles alone are not cheap.

Hi Eaglenester If it was you with that rifle at the PG range I would like to say thanks for letting me take a shot. This is an excellent rifle and
while I'd need more time to be certain it seemed every bit as nice as my PGW Timberwolf. Great to have two Canadian options when looking at .338LM

I received my CDX-33 Lite a few days ago as well but have not had a chance to try it out yet. Hopefully in the next week or so. I will be comparing it to the Savage 110BA it replaced.

As to the question, what ammo was I shooting? Hornady match 300 gainers, it was the cheapest at WholeSale sports in PG.
I am working up loads using RE25, Vita N570, and Retumbo, with Burger 300grain Hybrids. Will let U all know what the results are.
I want to start shooting at 1000 meters and beyond. That rifle is capable of shooting and hitting targets out to 3000 meters if the shooter does their part. The target that came with the rifle displayed a .5moa group.

Even cheaper, if you can get them, are the Sellier and Bellot 250 BTHP Match boxes, which are $3.20/round FWIW. I used them extensively in my 110BA before I got into reloading and will be what I break my CDX-33 in on.
