Restoring old brass

Recently I got some old used Dominion 43 Mauser brass which I think was originally black powder. The brass has green corrosion around the case mouth and neck. I cleaned a few off with some dry ultra fine steel wool and found the case mouth down to the neck has a black stain that wouldn't polish out. My question is can it be restored by annealing? Suggestions. Thanks

I'd SS pin tumble. It makes dirty crusty green range brass like new.

I would tumble clean it and use as is.

This ^^ I had some range brass that was all kinds of black and green ran it in the ss tumbler for a few hours it looked like I opened a box of new brass.
