Well I wanted a multi velocity airgun for shooting indoors, but need be I could do some pest control. Originally wanted to pay no more than 200$ and really only thing available in the range was the Crosman 2100. Someone told me there was this Benjamin 312 for 140 + shipping on a airgun site. I wasn't a fan of the older airguns because they were normally under powered. Well guess not !! this is over 600 FPS and 22cal. But older things normally were built simpler and better. After the guy that was leaning that I should jump on it, I caved.

Nice hardwood, nickel plated. Comes in a nice wooden case. reading up on it gotta be around 1960's lead and leather seals. I cannot wait. This would be my first airgun that wasn't bought from a Canadian Tire.

I think you will enjoy your old school pump up and the Benjamin has a classy look to it.
I still get use out of my first generation Crosman 760 that I bought new in '67 after completely wearing out a Daisy model 1894 in just 5 years. The variable power levels of the pump guns makes them really versatile.

Hopefully my trap can withstand it.

I asked the person that owned it what oil he used to lubricate the seals and he said he hasn't had to yet. But being this is a older air rifle, should I avoid crosman pellet oil being thats a ATF blend? I was to try and avoid a chemical reaction. Most of the seals are lead and I only assume the piston is the only seal that can dry out.

Not sure what option of oil they had in the 60s.

Got this in today. Check out these old pellets from 50/60's

There is only 1 seal that kinda looked bad and that was the felt one that traps dirt.
