Want to add a scope to my CIL Anschutz 180

Hi I want to add a scope to my CIL 180 that I got a few months ago but I want to do it the right way. I'd like to get something nice for it like a Burris or Leupold, maybe a Vortex rimfire scope.

I had some steel 11mm rings and I tried to mount them but they don't fit over the 64's rounded action. I see DIP makes a one-piece Weaver mount for the 64 action, I'm assuming it will fit the CIL 180 too with no problems? Is there anyone in Canada that makes or sells a similar mount? Or am I fine with going straight onto the 11mm rails with some good rings?
 
So you think the 11mm rings should be fine directly on the rifle then? I'm pretty sure they were Leupold low steel rings I tried already and they didn't fit over the 64's action. My LGS does have some cheaper 1" 11mm aluminum rings that look like they will fit.
 
I just put some med inexpensive traditions rings from LGS on my sons, so he could try a scope. A bushnell banner was a bit to big couldn't get the covers on the front so I threw an old air gun scope on it for now. He had a blast with it out to 50 yards and it will only take 2 minutes to put the peeps back on! Great guns!
 
So what's the advantage of the one-piece mount? It looks like you would have more surface area contact using it I guess that would mean the scope is on there really good?

Also, if the mount is 25 MOA above the barrel I guess that's also adding a bit more distance to compensate, bullet rise/drop on the already loopy .22LR? In that area going with straight rings might be better?
 
I used steel Warne 7.3 rings on my 190 Anschutz, they are designed to fit both 3/8 and 11mm dovetails by turning the clamp portion of the ring. No problems with clearance on the receiver, I THINK the 180 uses the same receiver, but can't say for sure.

The Warne 7.3's fit on the Anschutz 180, 190, and 310. Amazon's price is great. I ordered two sets.

You can use Weaver-style rings with the rail. The rail adds some height, too, if it's needed with your scope. With the rail, or with J&P's delrin adapters (see https://www.jnpgunsprings.com/product_info.php?cPath=8&products_id=239) you can use Burris Signature Zee rings, which are available with inserts to give an extra 20 or 30 MOA for shooting out to 100 yards without relying on your scope's internal adjustments. To judge from posts on RFC, however, most shooters use the dovetails. On a rimfire, the dovetails work very well (that's why they are on the rifles).
 
Thanks, I guess my question should have been more specific. But the DIP 25 MOA rail will add a bit more flexibility shooting out to 100 yards and more options for scopes with a large objective lens, but using the 11 mm rail will be better for shooting a standard 50 yards? Do the weaver mounts add anything in terms of ruggedness to the scope setup?

Mounting your rings on the dovetails will be perfectly fine for 50 yards. That's what I have on my CZ and Anschutz rifles. The dovetails provide all the ruggedness that is needed as the recoil of a rimfire is relatively insignificant. To put it into perspective, consider that very costly diopter target sights used on expensive match target rifles are on dovetail grooves.

If you plan to shoot at longer distances and have not yet purchased rings, consider the Signature Zee rings with the inserts and the J&P adapters linked in a previous post. The inserts can be added or removed as needed.
