(how not to go about(with pic)) removing the tabs on a grizzly mag tube

Do you guys know a good way to smooth out the tabs on the mag tube?

ya sooo..... The socket don't work it got stuck good. So good infact that I screwed up my grizzly now I need to buy another shot gun and convert that into a 878 magfed still worth it in the long run.

I had a socket that was the right size, but most people just drill them out

Man that's harsh. I've done it a number of times with no issues. I always give it a shot of wd 40 though

How on earth did you get it to fracture like that!?! If you can find another receiver with issues, you could heat up the solder, remove that tube, and put in a new one. Maybe try Dlask?

Well when it got stuck I put it in a vise put a 3/8 driver on it when that didn't even budge I used my 18.5 barrel for some leverage.

yes but I will finish my mag fed 878 everything fits it was just those stupid tabs stopped the piston from moving. Hell maybe canadaammo will make some if I can prove it works.

I love the 878 and have 5 and have parts to fix 3 so I thought why have 2+1 when I can have 5+1 and everything fits.

Mine was stubborn to the point that I was afraid of bending it so I drilled the tabs out instead. The holes are covered by the barrel ring anyway.
