Chinese Mosin

I think the sks is the best quality out of what I have seen. I saw a few ruff m305, and never heard any complaints about the sks.
I might grab a m305 in the short model or in the socom model if I can find one.

As far as quality and accuracy I think the NS522 is one of the best Chinese guns available. the only downfall with them is the poor fitting stock.

Most of the Chinese SKS around were military surplus, and were made very well. The commercial versions (like my old SKS-D model) were "just ok" by comparison. Same goes for the commercial Norinco 56 (AKs) if you're lucky enough to have 12.5. IMHO they paled in comparison to the Yugo and Russkie AKs.

The M305 can run VERY well with some tinkering, but you need a bit of knowhow. Yes, the fit and finish isn't on par with a M1A, but neither is the price...

I just HATE the T97... It's great that there is an affordable NR bullpup out there, but the ergos SUCK if you're doing anything other than bench shooting. Every once in awhile someone shows up at a CQB match with one, and usually leaves by mid-day as it's just not working right.

I've not seen a Chinese 91/30, so I'll reserve comment.

Chinese SKS are great, like previously said, Russian as well. As long as the Chinese isn't $500 in the EE..LOL...watch for idi0t pricing on them. They are usually a bit more then a standard Russian. but maybe $50/75 to be fair. Any Chinese rifle/SKS Ive had was great, some have Pinned barrels, some threaded. Many variations, many different factories made them over the years. Personally, M305 no issues, T97 no issues. I would suggest to buy them all :) start with what your budget allows. You can find a niice M305 for $500 all in used, even $450, if you keep an eye in the EE. Seems Chinese SKS is $250 -$350 + these days.

I've handled several Chinese M1A clones that were finished as well as a Springfield M1A (but not even close to an LRB Arms), but admittedly they were hand selected. The Chinese 1911 clones I've handled were outstanding shooters, but their forged parts would need a lot of finishing work to be on par with a Springfield 1911. I prefer a Russian SKS to the Chinese SKS, though for that to be the case both examples need to be in equal condition. The machining of the Russian SKS triggers in particular is vastly better than the Chinese SKS triggers I've seen.

I know there's a lot of haters out there but....Love my T97. I must have gotten one of the good ones. You get over the ergonomics after a couple months. I'm not a competitive shooter or anything I just have a lot of fun with it.

Second on that exactly for the SKS, M305 and the T97.
No love for the T97 here.
However I'll also throw in the Norinco 1911's. The old ones in the styrofoam boxes after now having owned one. Unbelievably well built, reliable and solid 1911 for the price if you can find one!
Reliability is 90% must have feature of any firearm I own, the other 10% is accuracy. I always reserve judgement until I've owned a rifle personally on how reliable it is.
Of all the Norc guns I've owned the only ones I ever sold because of bad reliability/bad personal first hand experiences while owning them have been the JW14 (clone of the excellent .22LR Squires and Bingham model 20) and the T97.
Junk!

I'm not aware the Type 53 moist is available in any numbers in Canada?

Of those listed, the Mosin is probably the most reliable, provided you get a military one. The T97's and M305's we get here are not real military rifles, they are cheaper civilian copies of military arms.

Factory 306 Chinese Military SKS was the best I ever owned. Fit and finish was better than your average Russian refurb and accuracy was excellent. The big Marstar import that seemed to be mostly 625 were pretty terrible finish wise but solidly reliable and accurate. SKS-D was dollar store quality. Lots of poorly fitted parts, springs were noticeably weaker, finish was crap, it felt like a cheap Chinese product. It went bang and shot fine but what a POS. I laugh at the prices people expect for them. Its the same gun as the old $89 commercial SKS that everyone avoids like the plague. But the Chinese military SKS is every bit as good and in some ways better than Russian.

M305 on your list. ive had one had got over 2000 rounds out of it. never had an issue exept for mags. not on your list norinco 1911(not a rifle ether) the .45 ones are every bit as good as the originals. yea the finish isnt on par but nether is the price.

I've had some excellent accuracy's with 305's as well, and all my friends. With a little bit of tinkering like you stated of course when they were $400.
