Another post got me thinking... What if I need a part for my T97? Like a new firing pin or some random spring... where would i be able to find them? I looked on Marstars site and i dont see any parts for the norinco stuff at all. Is this type of rifle a one off?

Like most black rifles if it isn't an AR15 your going to have a hard time finding parts. North American made rifles like the XCR and some foreign makes like IWI and Hk not too hard to find but other than that if it's black and goes bang five times fast your left in the wind by the importer when that $5 part breaks.

You buy a 2nd T97, The importer doesn't give a chit about you once they have your money... lol... Hence why mine is long gone...

I was told to contact North Sylva's warranty person George for spare parts.

Beware, parts are not cheap, but they did come!

^^^ This is your answer.

It's made in China and they don't care about anything but taking your money for a disposable rifle with zero support from the manufacturer or the importer.

What parts do you guys feel would need to be made available? I have a T97, and I am a machinist by trade with full cad capabilities and people that know how to make parts via CNC. Also, heat treat is an option if said parts require a certain hardness. Maybe I can make some of these parts.....

They would only sell the entire bolt assembly for $156 plus tax and shipping. I also bought an extra main spring for $18.

These two posts taken together make the second guy look kinda silly...
Just saying...

Good luck with this one. Best thing to do is to get rid of your t97 to avoid dealing with george and his gangs. Keep in mind george REFUSED to do warranty repair on my t97 because he said the rifles they got are from oversees. So they got my money this time and I avoid buying anything imported by northsylva.

Update 2017: the rifle is gone for good. It is not worth my time and effort.
