would it mess up the threads if you shoot with choke removed? my shotgun only has a full choke and i can't find anymore chokes for it. bad idea to shoot slugs and buckshot out of it with the full choke gone and nothing in its place? thanks

Why can't you shoot slugs and buck out of it with the full choke in it? If anything you'll get a tighter pattern with the buck and maybe even more accuracy with slugs.Granted it's a little more recoil, but I don't believe there's a safety issue there at all. I had a Browning auto 5 with just a full choke, the groove in the humpback made a nice rear sight, it made a fine slug gun.

Check with Carlson's, but I think you can get chokes for it:

"Winchester (1200, 1300, 1400, 1500, & Ranger): Interchanges with Carlson's Winchester, Mossberg 500 Weatherby and Browning Invector style threads"

i was always told not to shoot buckshot or slugs out of a full choke. and i plan on shooting steel for waterfowl later on and i think steel out of a full would be way to tight of a pattern, i was thinking ic or mod

A buddy shot a lot of slugs out of his Browning Gold with no tube in place. The threads were dirty but with a cleaning the tube screwed right back in. When asked why, he responded "the guy at the shop told me that no choke at all was best for slugs". I think the guy at the shop meant CYL or IMP CYL as in little or least choke. My buddy took it literally and went with no choke tube installed. Surprisingly the gun shots slugs like a rifle with no tube in place.

I would never shoot anything out a barrel with no choke tube installed no matter what the circumstance! The manufacturers would agree with me as well.

Slugs and buck are 100% safe to fire through a full choke. If they weren't the ammo maufacturers would have warnings on the box expressing no liabilty for said action. As for firing it without a choke in place? I have seen two bulged from doing that so my vote goes to nay!!
