Extraction Problems with M305

I am getting so frustrated with my Norinco M305. The shell casings keep getting caught between the bolt and the bore (stove top I believe is the term). I have also had problems with the next round will not get picked up properly from the magazine. Sometimes the point of the bullet jams into the side of the bore causing it to flatten. Also the casing has been bent when the bolt jams against it. I have taken the bolt apart figuring there was a build up of crud in the bolt. I thoroughly cleaned the extractor, spring and firing pin. But the shell casings keep getting jammed between the bolt and bore. I figure the extractor is the problem. I contacted Brownell and they don't sell the extractor or bolt. Is there a store in the Hamilton area someone can recommend that sells M305 parts or even a good gunsmith that can take a look at my gun?
 
If you grind feed groves into the bore where they are piling up in the breach.....that will help alot.......It helped with my sks pistol mag conversion.......Im not a gunsmith......but work at hical.ca......feel free to call the gunsmith there to help you out,,,,,1-604-buy-guns....;).....;)

Very few m305 ever needed grinding
 
Like Yomomma says, Barney is the go to m305 guy around here. April 9th is his clinic in Dunnville, Dundas is close. he'll have your norc working slicker than snot. spend $60 and one day to rekindle the romance with that battle rifle.
 
Feeding issues are almost always a magazine problem.

The stove piping is likely an extractor problem and or short stroking....

That clinic that Barney is hosting would be a real boon to track down which gremlin you are dealing with.

if yer not a gun smith and you don't fuggin know what yer talking about, do us all a favour and stop trying to be helpful.(Lot a that around here lately)

hey, check your trigger group for a broken mag release pin. I've seen that alone cause exactly what you are describing, although there are other causes as well. But I've seen the broken rollpin one easily over a dozen times from rifles new out of the box or lightly fired from new so worth ruling out.

Yes I was just tring to be helpful with a sugestion that helped me with my rifle.....was not trying to drum up busness.....he's in Ontario....were in BC......I was telling him to call for free advice from our gunsmith.....cause I wasnt sure.......Next time lll keep my comments to myself.....maybe next time you dont have to be a pompous knowitall

by the way, Barney is the other "know it all" around here, he's just funnier and has a WHOLE lot more patience ;)
I'm taking my leave of the internet in a bit here and will be trippin round the world with the wife for a while so you guys be careful which keyboard commando you get yer m14 info from.
there's a handful of real knowledgeable guys that post here and it's time for them to step up to the plate ;)

Attended the clinic yesterday. It was a great day and my gun will be firing much better now. The extraction problem was the magazine, specifically the 5 round one the gun came with.
