Hello and good day!

To give myself a break from AR's, I thought I would try out this new Remington Model Seven in .223.

I love bolt guns and this scaled down version of the infamous model 700 is sure to be a joy.

Here's some web specs...

First thing that stands out is the gorgeous laminate wood stock.

Secondly, the cool looking jeweled bolt is very smooth.

And thirdly, this x-mark trigger is crisp and light with no take up.

...and after a few minutes of sighting in the irons, I rattled off 5 quick ones and the results made me happy.

I paid just under $1000 shipped from IRUNGUNS and to summarize....

- very well built
- well balanced
- smooth action
- nice trigger
- accurate for irons....might scope it in the future

Indeed.

I was on the fence with a Tikka T3 but no one in town had or was able to get one with irons and with a wood stock.

Glad I didn't...this was much nicer.

Speaking also on the Tikka, T3x are soon to hit the market. With more improvements...ie: metal bolt shroud.

But back to the Seven...I do like the shorter bolt over the Tikka's one size only bolt. Makes for shorter and quicker lock time.

In terms of accuracy, I'm sure if I throw some glass on I can match Tikkas claim of moa.

The 1:9" twist bbl is a nice selling feature. Good twist for TSX bullets and deer hunting.

Add a little VX2 2x7 and it will be a perfect package for walking around hunting.
