Remington ADL BDL CDL whats the difference

My BDL had sights and Monte Carlo stock.

From search:

ADL has a blind magazine. Used to be the low-end model
BDL has a Monte Carlo Stock, gloss finish and magazine with a floorplate
CDL is the BDL with satin finish and classic stock
CDL DM has a detatchable magazine
CDL SF has a stainless action and fluted barrel

Some changes were made over the years, may not be accurate for every model.
May be wood grade differences as well.

Usually the BDL has iron sights and the CDL has a clean barrel, but not always.

I bought a model 7 CDL with irons and Monte Carlo stock, also a clean barreled BDL with a Classic stock. Somedays the Remington factory is a big free for all as far as labeling.

I bought an ADL 243 in the summer of 1976. Plain Jane, iron sights.

Tack driver right out of the box.

Shot my first bear with it in October and a deer in November.

Didn't scope it for years.

LSS - Laminated Stainless Steel
SF II - Stainless fluted 2nd generation

The confusion is wide ranging as shown when someone posts on the EE and appear to lack knowledge of what they really have.

Posting pictures and a little research would help both buyers and sellers.

Lots of local postings where the rifle is listed as a .308 You must guess the rest I figure :)

My main reasoning I want to purchase a different stock for it, but unsure of what to choose, be it ADL BDL CDL. A bit confusing.
None of the above. It is what it is. A remington Model 700 Sendero Stainless Fluted. If buying stock, that is what you specify. It is a heavy barrel version, so neither the ADL, BDL or CDL will fit. There may also be differences in the chamberings as .308 would be a short action and a .300 Win Mag is a medium/long action. I think the Sendero only came in the Med/Long action. But I was wrong before. :)

An option if cannot find a ready made stock would be to get a BDL stock and open up the barrel channel to fit the heavy (read thick) barrel.

Vid on short and long action below.

I like the stock but I also want something a bit slimmer. If you have handled the sendero sf II the fore end is quite wide. Although it is an awesome stock I want to try something a bit different will be keeping the stock stock was just curious if I were to change it out eventually if I don't get used to the stock what I would switch it with.

From doing a bit of googling, consensus is to open up the barrel channel on a BDL long action stock, many available. An aftermarket stock for the Sendero seems to be as scarce as hens teeth.
