Hi, I recently acquired this nice little Ross 1912 Cadet Rifle and I've been wondering about the meaning of it's stock stampings.
I understand the Dominion of Canada-Québec stamp but what does the 872 over the year 1914 stand for?
And can I assume that the stricken #'s stand for Cadet Corps #407 and that the more recent 1621 CC stand for a new cadet corps this rifle might have been transfered too?
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
