Vortex Strikefire....always on....ANSWERED THX :)

Hey guys,

I just aquired a used vortex strikefire. When i was fooling around with it in a darker room, i noticed that the dot does not completely go away when i turn it off.... There is still a very very faint light. On both the red and green settings.

Never had a vortex before. Is this something to be concerned about?? I guess its draining the battery 24/7? Other red dots ive owned i dont recall doing that.

If its not the norm, i guess it might be covered under this amazing waranty ive heard so much about.

Just thought id ask you knowledgable folks what your thoughts are.

Not normal but make sure you push and HOLD the button to turn it off, like hold it for longer than you would think you should have to hold it.

When I first got one of those, I had a heck of a time figuring out how to turn the darn thing off!

This might sound stupid but are you sure your not activating the night vision and not the power?

You guys were right.

I was on night vison mode. For me to turn it off i need to hold the button doen for a few seconds.

I didnt get an instruction manual you guys have helped a lot thanks!!
