Do the EOtech's have a high front end signature?
maybe he is used to the old Trijicon reflex sight that washes out!!
might also be the reason his BUIS is up.

to the op picture, maybe he prefers the grip to be more like a vertical one, the Magpul angle takes some getting used to. Actually in this case the angle would not change, but it gets it out more forward.

In this case an armed individual has shot a cop. The mission now is to go searching for an armed subject that is willing to kill you. As you are going into a gun fight, the best gun to have is a rifle, as a handgun is only good for emergency defense, and fighting your way to a rifle. Additionally, good body armour is in order as the person you are searching for will likely see you first, meaning they will have the opportunity to shoot at you first before you see them.

So rifles, Personal Protective Equipment, and sufficient ammunition to deal with weapon failures requiring mag changes if a fire fight should occur, and to respond to being shot at.

Is that not the job they have?

Because last time I checked, things like mass shootings, armed criminals, Boston bombing, Brussels airport, attacks against the world trade centre, and shooters in parliament hill are not something the military is called to respond to.

Have to agree with you, at least some of the Police should be armed with Rifles. It would be quite awhile before you could get a large number of troops patrolling a city if it was needed. As a rule Military bases aren't in the middle of the city, and Soldiers aren't prowling the streets either.

The Carbine is your friend, never mind all the other good attributes, you're much more likely to hit your target with a Rifle than a Pistol (I know obvious).

Considering military aid to civil power falls under the authority of the local police or whichever emergency agency has over all command, police would be in command of their deployment. Or martial law would be declared if otherwise.

That would be the ultimate militarization of enforcement, employing the military for public enforcement and protection domestically.
 
Ok, to sum up:
the afg is on backwards
the ctr stock isn't locked
the guy in the tan pants has a chick's butt, although his afg is on properly
and the guy in the back ground is listening to a boombox 80s style
More then I thought when I posted the pic!
