What state are buying in? Western NY sales tax is 8.75%. My CC has been dinging me with a nearly 40% exchange rate and when you get back to Canada, they are going to convert your US price with tax to the CDN equivalent and ding you with HST. No duty bc its US made. Might be a wash or close to it.

If you pick up cheap gas and beer it does make it worth it.

I'd be picking up in New York State. $377.99 + 8.75% local tax converted to Canadian (using Mastercard's posted rate) is $542.60. I'd have to add the 2.5% foreign transaction fee therefore total cost before crossing the boarder would be $556.17 Canadian. Adding HST to the actual total would be $628.47. If the product was taxed at the Canadian market value the total cost would be closer to $660 tax-in.

It took a "few" months to get in, but I expected that...

About $300 worth of bullets, counting taxes... I like that Hornady promotion quite a bit! And there's more dies and a case prep station I'll need in the future, too...
