Looks like the pic below. I have this on my 14 inch mossy 590A1 and it really is a nice recoil pad. I shot a tonne of slugs and other stuff awhile ago at a turkey and it didn't hurt the shoulder at all, even 3 inch slugs.

I have another Mossberg 590 that id like to put one on instead of the Knoxx Specops 2 that's on it now. I cant seem to find any other then the ones with that hard rubber pad. Any ideas? Dealers welcome to speak up as well.

I didn't buy the one in the pic, it came on another 590A1 that I bought off the EE, which was stock.

. . . I shot a tonne of slugs and other stuff awhile ago at a turkey . . .

I love that part of your post, must be tough turkeys around McMurry.

Anyway, the point of wanting a soft recoil pad is to mitigate the effects of recoil, but a recoil pad only partially addresses the issue.

Your gun needs to fit you, and your shooting technique should place sufficient mass behind the gun, to allow the recoil impulse to pass through your body, and enable you to control the gun. I was dissatisfied with the fit of the factory Speedfeed stock on my 590, so I decided to try MagPuls SGA. Stock fit is attained through a spacer system, that changed the character of this gun entirely; shooting 3" slugs and buckshot is no longer a chore. The look takes some getting used to, but the improvement in recoil management makes up for it.

Was a frozen turkey lol. Gun is really comfortable to me.

I took mine off (Mossberg buttstock with soft recoil pad) and sold it for very little on the EE. I do notice that some Mossberg pads are rock hard and others are soft. Soft ones are much better, for me. I put on a Choate stock, which is in the middle.
