Hey,

I just through I would share what a Polish PU sniper looks like.

Very few made, one of the rarest Mosin Nagant Rifles you could find. Rates as 10/10 on the rarity charts. - http://7.62x54r.net/MosinID/MosinRarity.htm
They are stocked in beutiful Polish blondo stocks, similar to the Polish M44's. Esentially what Poland did is restock and refurb Russian 91/30 PU's and brought them up to Poland's specs.

Uber rare - pics and rifle are not mine, they are taken form auction pics. BTW... The rifle sold for 2,899.99 US. That's $3817.23 Canadian (not including tax or fee's etc.) at current exchange rate. Quite the excellent mosin.

Soviet rifle in Polish stock. So it's not a rifle variation per se, it's just refurb variation? Sounds not good enough for me to put it into rifle variation category.

Its very nice, almost too nice. I would wonder if it is not a very nicely refinished sniper. I'd still love to have one in that condition fake or not.

The same could be said about Finnish rifles no?

Especially 1891's where all they did was sand the stocks, stamp them, and apply pine tar...

I see what your saying, but I don't think it really matters.

These are a variation of the Mosin nagant and the Rifle is still super collectible and cool. ;)

No it's real. :) There is lots of info about them on other forums.

There is more than just the stock that the Polish changed, several internal stock changes, including Polish markings under the wood line. the obvious use of a beech stock (not all have this style of stock, it's quite rare.) same as the M44. Slings and scope covers are Polish too, and most Polish PU's have some form of Polish arsenal/properly markings.

Thanks for sharing the photos.

The Polish refurbished Russian 91/30 PU snipers are fairly well known though, they've been in the hands of US and European collector's for many years. I don't think their authenticity was ever questioned? I know that a few have been claimed to have Polish refurbs that were actually fakes though.

Aren't they so pretty looking ;)

Yes you are correct correct, they are real. I was just posting because there were a few people who were adamant that there was no such thing. I guess of the few made, not many reached Canada.

Yeah I have seen a few fake Polish markings on regular mosins, but that's a different thing altogether.

Pine tar is a myth, no evidences supporting this. But yeah, some Finn M91s are just refurbished M91s, nothing special.
