Any suggestions on where to get one of these? I'm loading a couple more calibres now and don't want to do them all with a balance beam...

I see Natchez in the US has them for 280USD; so far the CA places I've seen are all 550CAD+. Even with exchange and duty, that's still cheaper.

Bought ours (grabbed one for a friends b-day at same time) from the US too....

Be sure and see the "brokerage fee" thread on how to avoid getting raped by UPS.

Beauty - do that then.

I was running to Montana to do the same before the dollar become @sswipe.

Yeah, I just ordered some collets from Prophet River last night. Would have been 10 bucks cheaper after conversion to order from Brownells, but for 10 bucks, I'll support a site sponsor and save myself the hassle of across the line.

Price difference for the Chargemaster combo is a little more compelling at over $150 difference...

For that money get a busy bee account. They handle all that BS for you.... Apologies if I got the name wrong, it's in the thread about importing.

Just out of curiousity what does it come to...

  • once the CDN dollar exchange is met,
  • taxes applied,
  • duty accounted for,
  • shipping included,
  • etc.

(basically once it's in your hands)?

Roughly :

280+70= 350x1.3= 455x1.1=500 + "brokerage fees" = ????!!!!!

Shouldn't be any duty.

Now, if that 70$ shipping option is one of the new "all brokerage included" deals, then that's different....

"Brokerage fees" in shipping language roughly translates to "bend over b!tch and pick me up that soap".....

My point - with the dollar as it is, US shopping is rarely worth it anymore.

The price is $279.00
USPS Shipping to NY State $20.00
$5.00 for the freight forwarder I use to accept and hold the package. Freeport Forwarding
Total $304 USD
Current exchange rate is 1.30 so add 3% for credit card rate
$404.32
$20.22 GST
$39.42 PST
$463.96 Total

I am not including the $75.00 RCBS Rebate.

The rebate applies in Canada too, yes/no?

yes but it is a little deceiving.
You must spend at least $300 USD on the invoice so you must buy at least $20.00 worth of additional RCBS products.
You must also send in the original UPC from the products and the original invoice.
Years ago it was even more complicated.
You only got a $50.00 rebate unless you sent in 20 sleeves from CCI primers.
