Hey CGNers,

I recently acquired a bunch of shotshell components and among it all were these yellow shotgun wads. I scoured the internet trying to find out what they are to see if they are something I can use for my loads. Someone on another forum asked the same question and close as they could come to an answer was that they MIGHT be Fordwad yellows or Yelo-wads, but no one had a definitive answer.

If you can tell me what they are it would be greatly appreciated. Even better would be a load for them using AA or STS hulls!

Thank you!

Ok Thanks . They are mid to late 60's Fordwad yellow wads then. They kept changing the design of them I think every year trying to get them to work but they never did very well IMO
They crushed big time after firing and produced terrible patterns and if mine they would be in the trash since for the price of good wads today even clay busters they are not worth using. You may find some loads in the early lyman no.1 or 2 manuals but only for aa hulls and probally not with any powers you can still buy today

I would be saying see ya to them if mine or using them for decoration on xmas wreaths
If they were 20ga they would be again early 60's pacific versalite 20 or the very first down range DVR-20's that came out which also had issues
Cheers
