Is this the head stamp for the non-corrosive batch?

I believe anything made before 1994 used corrosive primers. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't know if 1994 is a hard number, but it is generally mid 90's they started with non corrosive.

Anything in the 1970-73 chinese surplus is better described as "sometimes corrosive", they seemed to be mixed in each can, so other than testing every single round, you're best off treating it as corrosive.

So 63 ontop and 93 on bottom is factory 63 in 1993? My stuff is most likely non corrosive then ? ( it's 7.62 x51 )

Stevo, how do you check for steel case ammo? (sorry I am totally showing my lack of experience with this ammo)

A magnet works too. The Czech S&B surplus will have "BXN" and a two digit year on the headstamp. Generally a grey-green finish though some is grey.
