So..............did you get one?

Spent the week thinking about it, and decided that with my eyes I needed something easier to scope (due to the front/top ejection). Not to mention that there would likely be a shortage of scope mounts and short magazines for months now, lol! So it wouldn't have been a $1000 rifle with taxes, it would have been a $1000 plus scope mount plus scope plus mags, plus ammo (I don't have anything in that caliber yet)... Another time then.

Still looking for my next fun firearm... Benelli MR-1 with telescopic stock, scope and bipod (sleek and stilish!), a good bolt action (tack-driving accurate!) or a lever action in .357 or .44 for pure unadultered plinking and shoot-everything-in-sight FUN? :d

So hard to choose!

Anyone who wanted one and didn't get one I have a used restricted and would like to give a great deal for anyone who is really bummed out by sale.

Anyways guys, big thanks to wolverine for knowing what we actually want and getting it for us.

Keep up the good work and youll keep getting my money.

I got two charges on my credit card and one confirmation. Happy I got one and am sure the duplicate charge will be rectified hastily but it's a crappy deal for those that seem to have been charged but have not received a confirmation of order, especially if they don't get a rifle

And the classy fan boy defending what was an obvious poorly planned sale. As for the service industry when you piss off your customers who are trying to buy your products with a system that doesn't work you don't blame your customers for it. As for your personal insults I won't go that route.

A sale that was advertised for weeks, known about for months and anticipated for years....poorly planned? You sir certainly must have the most perfectly planned life, me I took 15 minutes out of my day to go online and make a hassle free purchase which I had known and planned for a few months now bing bang boom, should look real nice in the gun safe.

It took me 25 minutes to checkout, I have a 100Mbps connection, A friend of mine took 1.5 hours since his internet is just basic 25 Mbps connection, he got error messages and website timeouts. Im pretty sure most people that had issues didn't have good internet to begin with.

I managed to order mine on my cell phone using Rogers LTE lol the connection at my work is horrendous so using the desktop was an utterfail. I was able to order mine within 22 minutes of the sale going live which was surprising given i was using my cell phone. It was nail biting as i timed the start of the sale at the begining of my break and im glad i was able to place my order before my break finished :p

You are correct what I should have said was poorly executed. I'm glad you had a perfect sale, others like myself spent hours trying to make a payment. I'm not sure how it's my fault but if it is perhaps I need to work on my paying skills as I input my credit card about ten times and waited and waited and waited. I'm more upset with myself for wasting so much time on a rifle that I probably would never shoot. It was an impulse purchase that I'm ok with not making, it become more of a quest than anything and it is very annoying that I could not compete it. They knew the site traffic was coming, they insisted they could handle it, they were wrong. It's great that you got your rifle, but imagine how you would feel if you did everything the same but got nothing but frustration. Then you can tell me how bing bang boom you feel.

guys to the people out there who tried to make payments like me my credit card has 3 pending purchases so look at your cc bill I bought 1 as far as confirmation email.

Based on my available credit I was only charged once but I had to go through the process 4 times to place the order, The last time I almost ordered two by mistake because the cart still had the original entry after restating from scratch.

I came late to the game and I feel for those that tried to place an order and all they got was server error, over and over but I don't think this was due to the wolverine site. The CC are processed by a third party application and it's that third party that took all the fun out of this.

I agree ^

An impulse buy myself 3 times going through the cc payment and then kicked me out entirely from the website, frustration yep you bet,
im glad some people had a trouble free time on getting a 858.

Ah yes the obligatory big sack of crap comment, you're the reason why the service industry is so annoying to be in. Take your dollars to the dollar store and find a cap gun thats where you belong.

theres a couple of other guys selling BNIB vz 58s in 7.62x39 for 1269.00$ and 1459.00$

I now have 3 Visa transactions of $0.00 and no email conformation. I hope in addition to not getting an 858 I dont get charged a $100 administrative fee!
