CZ 512 Tactical –

Is this rifle available in Canada and if so how much are they.

Looks like a fun rifle and one that might not be restricted.

I would use the search feature but....

It's on sale too, $140 off! I handled it a few weeks back, I kinda liked it, and I'm not a black/tacticool type. The gun felt solid, felt like a CZ. One complaint people have, and I personally don't see it, is that the barrel sits "higher" in the handguard and isn't centered, so it looks a little off compared to the usual look. To me it makes sense, as your bore axis is closer to your sight plane, especially if you mount some optics, and it's a .22 so you don't have to worry too much about heat dissipation. If I hadn't just bought an RX22 a few months before I had seen this 512, I would have ended up with it.

On a side note, it seems the 25 round mags work in the 455, we tried it in the store and the mag locked up solid and the top of the mag looks like a dimensional copy of the regular 5 or 10 round 455 mags. I've got a 512 mag ordered to see if it'll work in my 452, fingers crossed it feeds reliably!

It's not that bad for a "tactical" styled gun. I wonder what they cost and if it's possible to buy the .22mag barrel, bolt and magazine as an accessory?
Hopefully it shoots great and runs well with bulk ammo and is priced right. The long thin magazine looks a bit fragile compared to a Ruger.

Prairie Plinker, How much are the magazines selling for?

I've got one on order at NorthPro, no ETA, and I was told it would be around ~$60. When I was there it was busy busy...so when he said "give me a moment and I'll grab a price for you from the computer", I said don't worry about it, order me one and I'll pay whatever it is.

Thanks guys it us now on my list of next buys. All the CZ guns I have either owned or shot are well made and are good value. I have an itch that needs scratching and this just might be the time to unload some of my safe Queens and get a fun gun.

Just watched a review and a couple things is that the take down requires removal of a half dozen or so bolts, no last shot bolt hold and the bolt itself runs on top of the polymer lower.

It looks like the difference between it and the regular 512 is just an ATI stock kit.
