Tavor Mag Release Mechanism

Hi All,

Im looking at duplicating the Tavor Mag Release mechanism for another project, but I dont have a Tavor so therefore cant duplicate it.

Does anyone have a source/video/drawing/description of how the Tavor mag relase meachnism works?

In short im exploring of converting the AR-15 type release to a paddle-like release...

I think it would take making a custom lower...

While IWI replaced it by a push button similar to AR style, you want to go backwards! Interesting.

Okay let me explain then.. I have a T97 and I've seen what T97.CA has prototyped the lever/mag flare kit.. But that was a few years ago with no production in sight... I wanted to maybe make a prototype of my own, maybe starting with a 3D printed one and go from there.

I want to model the action/function off of the Tavor lever type, but don't have working knowledge of it...

Watch this disassembly video, which I realize doesn't have the level of detail needed to reverse-engineer a solution. But it should help you realize what would be involved in replicating the Tavor's design
