Which CHEAP semi-auto shotguns are decent enough to not blow up in my face?

Just look to some US based water fowling and Shot gunning forums. There are a lot of "My Beretta (insert 400 etc) is broke" threads. I own a A302 and it has been great. My nephews Extrema went lame over a 2.00 part. Sad for a 2000.00 gun.

Yep and mine had feeding issues after just one box through it which I had to fix
It is not the first gun I take for a semi if I am going out of province to hunt and have to make sure I have a tool that works that is for sure
But to each their own
Cheers

We have sold a number of the uzkon zk11 it's much like the Weatherby semi just 300 cheaper and better finished
They are under 450$ and have Walnut Stock 38 inch bbl

Lots of guns will stop functioning if something breaks. The biggest weakness of the A391 series is the pin stopping the ejector. After maybe 6000 rounds or so, mine is fine. If it ever breaks, I've seen it happen to a buddy, it's a $2 fix.

Pound for pound the best bang for your buck is still a X3 in a waterfowl semi
But that is my opinion based on owning and still owning examples of most models

I've never owned an x3 or A400, I'll have to take your word for it. I have played with a400's a few times and other than it being cheaper to manufacture, I've not been able to point to any tangible improvements over the A391 it replaced.

That's what I was saying. Beretta keeps replacing designs with "better" ones that don't seem to be any better or possibly worse than the ones they replaced. By the way it was the ejector pin that went south on my nephews Extrema. It has happened enough (from research and actual experience) to safely say this is a quality issue with Beretta late series shotguns. My nephews gun did not have 500 rounds through it. When he went to get it fixed there was not a single required part in Canada to make the repair. I just think Beretta has gone the wrong way with semi autos designed since the 300,302 303 era.
