Warning from RCBS Re Sizing wax

I started using a Q-tip to lube my cases, have been using Imperial sizing wax from the start, had 1 stuck case in a 30-06 die, but that was my fault. Had a stuck case removal kit handy, and it came right out.

I use the Imperial sizing wax. However, I also take my dies apart and clean them regularly. Good to know though that there is a potential for problems.
Thanks!

Only consistent stuck .223 cases I get are with Hornady One Shot. This has happened with both RCBS and Redding dies. Imperial wax works great. Hose the dies out every 1000 rounds or so.

Lanolin and alcohol spray is so easy and fast I dont see a reason to use anything else ever.

I use very little for pistol, and a little more for rifle.
Make sure that you spray inside the case necks for rifle also. You will be tumbling the cases after anyway.
I diluted the mix a lolt compared to the recipe on the internet. You really do not need a lot. Cases just need to feel a little slick, not gummed up.

Costs a bottle of alcohol and a bottle of lanolin for a lifetime of lube....

That's exactly what I do but pay a little closer attention to the rifle brass than straight walled when it comes to lube inside the neck

I use it all the time. Like anything there are some little tricks you pick up. The first is to lube the first couple cases extra thoroughly to make sure the die is dressed with the stuff. After that you can cut way back.

If you come across a case that is taking some extra effort or feeling grabby do yourself a favor and stop. Lube that case again like it was the first one and try again. Usually on the second try it will be effortless. It's a heck of a lot faster to make sure than to drill it out.

When using the imperial wax, you are supposed to use very, very little. I can see how it would build up if you were putting it on like you're buttering a cake.
Also, people rarely cleaning their dies would cause this too. I usually clean my size dies after a reload session of 223.

I have sized thousands of cases with Imperial sizing wax, and I have never had an issue.

This!! Probably Tens of thousands in my instance. Nary one stuck case, nor any buildup of "wax" Sounds like baloney to me.
Many of my dies are RCBS, as well.

I will continue to use Imperial Sizing Wax with confidence. Dave.

This right here.... Clean your FL dies every now and again and you won't have any problems.

I know what they mean by the wax turning into a rubbery glue inside the dies, I had one die that was full of wax, and cases were sticking, after cleaning its smooth as butter again.

This is my experience as well.

Any lube (including RCBS lube) can build up in dies if you use too much or don't clean dies occasionally. Not exactly breaking news.

I have never once had an issue with Imperial Sizing wax, or a suck case, and I have been using it since the 80's with every die brand out there.

What he said. It says right on the tin "use very sparingly". Also as others mentioned cleaning your dies as well no matter what you are using for lube.

I've sized around 8-10k cases since switching to Imperial/Redding sizing wax and haven't had a single stuck case. While using RCBS case lube 2 and Lee sizing paste I had the occasional stuck case. The worst was some spray-on sizing lube that I forget the brand name of that caused stuck cases on a regular basis and also made me feel sick while using it (it wasn't Hornady; I'd remember that since I use lots of their bullets).
