Just wondering what all you shotgun coyote hunters are using to put them down? I have always used 3" 00 buck out of a factory mod choke, but lately I have had a hankerin to order a kicks extra full ported buckshot choke and find some #4 buckshot which is not easy to come by. It seams to be used on coyotes quite a lot in the US. My 00 buck setup puts them down just fine, but I really like the idea of more pellets. Anyone use lead BB?

Where do you get your #4 buckshot?

Mine came from hummason in 25 pound bags many years ago so that is no help to you but I have also asked Will B at ballistic products in canada and he has it or can get it but in smaller bottles
Cheers

I'm sorry I thought you reloaded and was looking for shot only

Well, I figured if 00 buck is everywhere I might as well stick with it. I'm not too keen on hornady's special versatight wads or whatever.seem to be the same as the federal flight control wads and I didn't care for them. I ordered up a kicks buck kicker extra full choke, made for buckshot, ill post some patterns with 00 buck when I get a chance.

The problem with 00buck.is the large pellets get smashed going threw a tight choke and fly all over the place.try them with a open choke and see how she patterns.i like 48 pellets better then 8. Lol Dutch

The Hornady #4 buck (Varmint Express) is quite popular - we sell a ton of it - shouldn't be difficult to get.

I'm a huge fan of those but would love if hornady came out with a 3" 4B in the versawad. More pellets and higher velocity deader coyotes.
