The AG is good to write to. I shot the wedding of John Wiersma's son and they are all good friends I could ask him.
I also had a chat with the new Clerk of the Privy Council and he says they also monitor departments and complaints. Enough letters to the Clerk would light a fire too. I think a polite complain is in order. This whole issue is a barometer for our democratic rights. We have weighed on the side of caution too long.

You really can't be that empty minded can you? You do understand that LEO can legally be in possession of drugs, can legally break th speed limit and can legally be in possession of prohibited firearms right? If you want the privilege there bucko, go fill out an application.
 
I wonder if, when the rcmp says something can be "easily converted", they actually pass the information by someone or if they just seal the file to keep the scary information secret? What I mean by that is, is there some one who reviews this? or do we just take their word? Is there proof in the way of video or schematics that prove they made a firearm full auto? And also that it was easy? How do we know that if you took a semi auto Swiss arms and laid the guts out next to an rcmp made full auto that we would be looking at one or two parts that were worked over with a file for a half hour or that every single part has been re-designed and rebuilt, or flat out fabricated?
Maybe they just keep a gun for a few years without ever looking at it, and, at the end, throw it in a smelter and say "yup. Made it full auto and damn was it easy....sorry guys...."

If it passes BATFE requirements, there is no reason it shouldn't pass our "lab".

If I wanted to join a institution of liars , crooks and full of members who can make up the rules as they see fit I would just join the Liberal Party of Canada..
At least there I wouldn't have to use a funny hat!
 
All the .22LR reviews and videos I've read about it say it's extremely reliable out of the box (ie: no usual .22LR semi breaking in period, filled with FTF/FTE's), so if the price is right, I might pick one up. At the very least, it will turn heads at the range.

Agreed, I ordered one from IRunGuns for $399 USD. It may be ugly, but if it as reliable and accurate as claimed, in the reviews I have seen, I can live with the looks. Being unrestricted and able to use Colt M4-22 mags with no capacity limit, it seems almost too good to be true.

Woah, $399? I was expecting this thing to be upwards to $600-$700+

Suddenly I'm much more interested.
 
Use the access to information request $5 to find out, you need very specific details make model, department, reason for ruling, who was in charge...
 
Oh Humm that is strange and dismaying. I saw a access request that ask for everything darn thing they did and the lab said NO. You can't ask for everything that's crazy.
