Recently aquired this pistol from a local gentelman and it has some local history.
Could any one perhaps shed some light as to age, type.,caliber and aprox. value?

Your pistol was made by Isaac Blissett, 69 Leadenhall St., of London. It may be one of a pair (probable). It could be a privately purchased officer's pistol or, depending on the bore, it could be a howdah pistol. Whatever, you have a nice piece. Google is your friend.

Isaac Blisset was registered as a gun maker at that address between 1823 and 1854, so your gun was made sometime during that period. Mr Blisset was trained as a jeweler so that explains the fine engraving.
