.50 Beowulf mags

I hate to slag a Canadian vendor, but I have three of the PCV Beowulf mags and they arent that great.

I find they swell when loaded as the polymer flexes. They also kick out rounds when under too much pressure.

Im still looking for a better quality replacement mags...

MORE false info... The RCMP specifically prohibited ONE batch from ONE retailer because they believed those mags were originally 5.56mm mags converted into .50 Beowulf mags. Rustywood Trading has imported authentic Alexander Arms mags, and the IMI Beowulf mags have been brought in as well.

I believe the person you are quoting works for a large firearm distributor in Canada who consults with the RCMP on a regular basis regarding imports.

That would be an "appeal to authority". Just because someone at the RCMP says so, doesn't make it so.
I understand that better than anyone as I have spent tens of thousands defending against the RCMP "saying so" when it was not so.(in regards to other areas of the law)

My posts only intent was the information contained, not what I would or wouldn't do in regards to the magazines in question.

Brian, perhaps in the past you've had dealings with the rcmp that were difficult, but authentic metal AA Beowulf magazines are still to this day being imported and sold, see picture below, new shipment just arrived
There is a major difference when it comes to authentic AA magazines and not authentic AA, sonce AA created the cartridge and the magazine there can be no mistake at the original intent of the magazine.

"difficult" is a gross understatement

the shipment that was stopped and no more coming in were not AA according to what has been posted in various sections on this website

FWIW, Northern Republic Magazine has had Alexander Arms mags in stock continually since September last year.
