Hey fellow CGNr's,

Just wondering if a mount designed for the Micro T1 will work with the Micro T2?

More specifically, will the Daniel Defense Aimpoint Micro Mount (DD1304518025) fit the T2?

Here is what I found from the Daniel Defense website. The part that I underlined and bolded leads me to think that the T2 will fit if it has the same mounting interface.

"designed to securely mount a variety of popular optics to your flat-top upper receiver including Aimpoint’s Micro R-1, H-1, T-1, Vortex’s Sparc I & II, Primary Arms’ Micro Dot & Advanced Micro Dot, Holosun Technologies HS403, or any other optic utilizing the same type of mounting interface"

Thanks

Thank you!

You're welcome. DD's site mentions the "R-1" sight, which has been out of production since about 2010 I believe, so it's not too surprising that they haven't updated it to include the second generation red dots yet.

which mounts do I need to use if I want to use a T2 and Aimpoint 3x magnifier and have it full co-witness with my Troy battlesight micro flip up sights?

The ADM CAS-V mount will create a T2 absolute cowitness with the Troy micro sights, 1.15" over the rail.

So my current set up right now, the Aimpoint 3x magnifier will be on Larue QD mount. Will ADM CAS-V mount will create absolute co-witness with this set up?

CAS-V will absolute cowitness with the Troy micros, but the 3X will sit 0.6" higher than the optical centerline of the red dot, with the LaRue on the 3X. An ideal "everything lined up" setup would be pairing the micro BUIS with the CAS-V, and running the magnifier with the standard mount (spacer removed) at 1.1875". That would put the red dot/3X within 0.0375" of each other. The downside of course is that you're going to have to physically remove the 3X (instead of just swinging it out of the way) when you want to cowitness. You could also try a QD 30mm ring on the magnifier, by trial and error until you get just the right height. I don't use a magnifier with my T2, so there may be others here who can give you more practical insight from experience.

There has to be a way since both of them are made by Aimpoint and I have seen people running this set up. 3x magnifier and micro.

Anyone else?

It sounds like you need to ditch the micros and get proper height BUIS, which will cowitness with standard height bases. The micro BUIS are not meant for what you are trying to do, unless you are ok with a lower 1/3 cowitness.

Actually there is a way. Larue T751 mount if it used on Aimpoint Micro will absolute cowitness with Aimpoint 3x magnifier on Larue LT755S.

CW is the relationship between the red dot and the BUIS. For standard BUIS use the LT751. For Troy micros, use the ADM CAS-V. Then pick a mount that gets the 3X as close as possible to the T2 height.

If I use LT751 on my Aimpooint micro and LT755s on the 3x, will it have 1/3 cowitness with my Troy micros then?
