what is your dream SKS?

It never changed and isn't a buzzword. Just another term which is used prominently in the precision long range rifle world.
Lack of knowledge or exposure to something doesn't equate to it not existing.
In my state of lack of knowledge, I googled "chassis" for definition. Most reference were to the frame of a vehicle and the supporting structure for electronics.

This is the closest definition I could find that somewhat referred to a gun. ......
2.
Ordnance. the frame or railway on which a gun carriage moves backward and forward.

Is this the proper definition of the term in the precision long range rifle world or is there a more current definition? Can I use the term to refer to the stock on my deer rifle, or does it have to be for LR guns? I ask because at post #5 the poster mentioned about a chassis for an SKS which is hardly a LR gun.

Sooooo confusing!

No one said sks is a LR gun. Chassis is a prevalent term with LR rifles, so crossover terminology will, can and does occur.

SKS-D in a Bullpup stock (if I would be in the US)

I would love to get an SKS with removable magazines, fewer moving parts, simpler gas system, threads for a muzzle brake, bigger safety lever, wait.........................................AK. I want an AK.
