Whats the hardest kicking gun you ever fired?

155 mm M777A1 light weight, towed Howitzer at MACS High 5... But in all seriousness my turkey gun, Mossberg 535 w/ 3 1/2in Mag 2oz #6 shot...

Beats any other firearm I've fired, including .338 Lapua and .50 Cal/12.7mm...

I shot a side by side 12 gauge pulling both triggers at once, and the recoil was pretty bad with 2 3/4" turkey loads. I think the worst was a 3 1/2" out of my pistol grip Mossberg 500.

I had a Remington mod 721 in 30-06 that hurt every time I shot it. One time I shot my uncle's 375H&H and commented that it wasn't much worse than my rifle. My uncle then shot mine. Once. He handed it back to me and told me to get rid of it. He said there had to be something wrong with it for a 30-06 to kick that bad. I had a chance just a few days later to shoot my grandfather's 30-06. Night and day.

I borrowed my dad's SxS 10ga at the age of 17 and slipped off the first trigger and hit the second trigger right after: I fell over and blew half the tail feathers off the goose (but it kept flying). I did enough damage to the shoulder from improper stance and a severely strong hold on it (choked the gun out of fear of recoil) that I couldn't shoot a .22LR for close to 6 months.

Maybe I learned something, but I have shot 378 Weatherby Magnum without a brake and had no issues.

Well the 7mag Savage....that was....and started my quest for pain ....has now brought me to a 416 Rigby. Pretty sure it will hurt on both ends. Actually i have found that many of the heavys seem to have a very large recoil impulse, but not the double whammy of impulse and velocity....say a 338 wm as the poster child for that.

A custom 458 wm that my grandad built, I inherited it when he passed, I shot it twice, it's been sitting on the gun rack ever since (10+ years ago). It's to bad, it's a gem of a rifle, beautiful rosewood stock, built on an old Mauser action, deep shiny dark blue job, one day if I get some meat on my bones I may work up the courage to try it again.

12 gauge with some Swiss military load 3 1/2. Can't remember exactly what it was, but I was 18 weighing a 150lbs and scronny as hell. I thought it would be the same as the 2 3/4 birdshot loads I was shooting earlier. This was also my first time firing a shotgun. Rocked me back to last Tuesday... I'll never forget that. My uncle had a had a good laugh....lol
