We ever getting 14" 590-A1's again?

Ellwood Epps was selling NIB Mossberg M590A1 OEM 14" bbl for $750.00 when they came in about a year ago....they had like 30 units in stock. Should've bought one.

I have a mint 14" er that would never let go. I had offers for 1K and even slightly more....but declined.

Just wait and keep an eye open, you'll get one eventually.

Mint? Why?
I've used the hell outta mine...

The 14" is really nicely balanced...a quick pointer. Lighter in weight, still holds five 2 3/4" shells.
I also like that our American cousins don't get easy access to it. ;-)

How do you like your stock setup? I don't really like the standard 14.5 foregrip with the web dangler. It seems like a shorter grip than my 20 inch 590A1. It feels like I have to reach further out to cycle it on a shorter barrel and mag tube.
Is the Magpul rear good? Does it snag when you bring it up to shoot?

One last thing, every thing I've found and read says mossberg will not bring these up anymore. Military and law enforcement only. Canada and US. If this is true, I'm sure Remington will follow suit as well. Looks like there are only two kits left on the market in Canada so if you want one buy it now!

The last bunch that hit the Canadian market were originally brought in for a LE contract. They were imported into the country on a LE export permit. After the shotguns were in Canada the police force that ordered them cancelled the order. The distributor decided to just sell them to civilians. The US State Dept. found out what happened and that's when the sh!t hit the fan. The importer and Mossberg got severely reprimanded by the US State Dept. for selling them to civilians after importing them on a LE end user. Guess how they found out CGN. They do monitor this site. They also do Blue Lantern inspection on importers once it's in Canada. So the short answer is there will be no more 14" barrel shotguns unless the US State Dept. changes it policy.

Read this a year and a half ago, yet 14" barrel kits showed up... what happened there?

All you can do right now is either buy a used one, or buy a 500/590 and buy the kit - it isn't as simple as a barrel swap.

What's involved in installing the kit then? I get it that barrels swap easily on other brands, but is this difficult then?

Well if you read what CSC has posted #31.

What they posted was posted a year and a half ago.... then more showed up (do you understand my point now). IRG stated this 2 years ago, that whatever body in the USA wouldn't export here, only to LEO/MIL.

Old news. And yes, 14" barrel kits trickled in somehow (recently).

Maybe do an old search and see the same thing posted (no export) if you like, as we had these discussions many moons ago...

Weren't supposed to come... yada yada, cancelled contract or whatever. I have a 14" 590A1 and it's not for sale. Good luck getting a full 14" factory Mossy unless it's on the EE.
