So while down and out about my CZ 455 accuracy woes I browsed the EE and couldn't believe my eyes when I found this baby for sale! It is my dream rifle and I never thought I'd own one so I didn't hesitate for a second to make it mine. I love the look of the weatherby stocks and they fit me well. Annie 64 action and barrel to boot? Oh boy do we have a winner!

I only had a couple hours at the range so my ammo testing was limited to what were the top 4 brands in my Savage. I warmed up shooting and sighting in with various bulk ammos waiting for a cease fire to get clean targets up. It shot bulk as one would expect.

I never cleaned during the shooting session so I shot SK and Lapua ammo which I reckoned had similar enough lubes not to matter too much. I shot three groups of an ammo across this target and then shot 5 groups of it on a separate target. For some reason the groups were better on this one.

Finally have a scope on my Savage again after putting the CZ to rest until further notice, oh what a treat it is to shoot again! Compared to the CZ or Weatherby it is so solid on the bench, never cleaned it since last time and I see no reason to touch a thing!

I notice a tendency for fliers to the left with the Weatherby, not happening with the Savage so it is not the wind. It is definitely not as stable on the rest as the Savage, some wavering going on I can't seem to totally settle down. Might be a bit of a learning curve to calm down those fliers if I'm doing something off in my setup. Nice to see some potential in the new rifle and I'll have some fun figuring out if it's just a little ammo picky or how to improve my form. She's a keeper!
