Ruger .44 magnum

Welcome to the nut house, rimfire .44mag sounds pretty rare....... :)
Maybe post in the general hunting rifle section?
 
Having owned 4, I can say that if it is truly mint, you'd be looking around $1000. Its not a collectors item, its a functional short hand cool rifle for hunting. People will pay, for it. At $800 it would be sold very quickly. Asking $1200 isn't too much, but might move slowly.....
 
The rifle is not beat up, nor is it mint. Some Buba has put sling swivels on the end of the pistol grip and the tip of the fore end. That era (1966) may not have the cartridge cut off button. Look at the bottom loading gate to see if there is a little round button on the right side below the gate. If present it allows you to empty the tube mag without cycling the action. If not present to unload the rifle all rounds have to be cycled. That era should also have an aluminum butt plate not plastic.
These nice little rifles have been selling in the $800. range realistically. You see them listed on the EE for $1000, 1200, 1500, wishful thinking on the sellers part.
 
I've seen them sell on average between $800-900. More desirable, clean examples will sell north of $1000. "lovingly used" examples will sell quickly at $700-800. You can wait a bit longer if you want your price but other examples will show up on the EE at a lower price and go faster. Great rifles, been wanting to add one to the collection for the last year or so.
