No, the idea was sustainability of the species... just like spawning rivers are often closed during spawning runs for sensitive species... upland game are protected during the nesting/brooding/rearing season.... I support that.
 
i guess I'm just excited to get out there and hunt lol . This thread has led to me learning more thru U guys and also me reading up on things in more detail, so thanks ;)
I can fish those months and get my Muskie and walleye. I will have to wait untill September for the hunting

Note that you can still target shoot all you want. These regulations are for hunting only. I happily blast away at my camp (in WMU49) all summer.
