Have had a couple hunting rifles for sale on the exchange. One is a Browning A-bolt in 270 and the other a Rem 700 in 280. I posted both with pictures and both are reasonably priced at $600 shipped. Some must think this is a life time investment as to the request I am getting for pictures. Can you send me a picture of the Muzzle, the bolt, the bolt face, a close up of the finish, a higher res picture of this. It goes on and on. Maybe I'm missing something but I just don't get it. I understand wanting to see the item before you but but at this price the actions are almost worth it. Then you do the leg work and never hear from the person again. And whats with the questions about round count in hunting rifle!

Thanks for listening.

Roger that. It's tough to make a decision. I've been looking for a 375 for over year. Just jumped on one today. Time focuses the search. Many of us don't know exactly what we want at first. Thanks for helping the undecided get educated.

So put up some good pics and this won't happen. Anyone with an ad up without good pics is doing this to themselves if you ask me.

Some of the ads I have seen make me feel like the seller doesn't even want to sell. Crappy pics that show nothing of use, or no pics at all, and crappy descriptions to boot.

Looking at your Browning Ad why only one pic? Why if you had the camera out was that the only pic you took? Makes me feel there is something to hide...

I am new here, but I am a knife collector and have been screwed before because I didn't ask enough questions or ask for better pictures.

The only real difference here is the Trader Rating system which should settle peoples nerves.

I guess my real point is that people ask for pictures and then never point out what they didn't like. Mostly because they have no intention of purchasing.

Put up pics.
I don't understand how or why people don't.
I obviously am not basing this on any evidence other than personal experience and observations but it will probably increase the odds of you selling it by a lot.
Just look at the number of views on adds that have them compared to the adds that don't. That should tell you all you need to know.
I'm retarded with technology and I can upload pics so there is no excuse other than laziness Sir.
If I don't see pics in the add I become automatically suspicious. I'm sure I'm not the only one...

For some people 600 bucks is a lot of cash to lay out for something that you only see in pictures. Pics are free too, just a pain in the butt to get and upload sometimes. As long as they don't ask for a whole bunch of pics then try and lowball you!

Over $1000 I might get a bit pickier. Under, some general pics are fine. I've found everyone I've dealt with so far to be very honest about condition. If you post 3-4 pics, and described it in all its glory, that's enough in my opinion.

I always post pictures, but some people are ridiculous in the amount of high resolution pictures that they want to see. There was one individual that I took two extra sets of pictures for, and when he asked for more, I told him that the rifle was sold. On the other hand, when I ask for pictures because there aren't any, or because the pictures posted are very poor, and I see something that I don't like, I just walk away.

For any $600-$2000 ishhhh an +++$$$, I want see great pics of it, no pics ... Forget it.

commun sense.

posting and asking for emailing for pics is a big mistake. You want to sell, well... Make the effort instead...,

I have sent up to 20 pictures to one guy for real. It is what it is really. Sometimes you get the sale sometimes you don't , can't expect a person to buy it just cause you sent pics and put in some effort. If they don't want it or saw something they didn't like then that's life. I get more annoyed when you send a lot of pics and info and you don't even get a response back , not even a "got the pics I'll pass thanks" courtesy.

Best defense is to have plenty of good quality pics in your ad to begin with. That eliminates 90% of the tire kickers.

I find my patience for sending extra pics at every angle goes up or in relation to the price of the item I'm selling. Some guys want 20 pics of a fricken bubba SMLE. forget it, I don't need to sell it tyst bad. :)

I just sold a rifle to a guy who wanted a bunch of pictures, including one with my PAL and drivers license on the rifle.
I complied, blacking out the date of birth and such.
The rifle is in transit by Expedited Parcel.
Why?
It was an Accuracy International AT.
I don't expect a stranger to send me a pile of money without him doing his due diligence.

Goll dang memory..........not long ago there was an item that I wanted butt, no fruck'n fotos.
I asked for a couple before they held me to my "I'll take it".
Guess whutt?
Sold and no response.
PMO.
Where's me vew-dew dawl.......:pirate:
