Norinco Shotgun with 14" barrel PD12SB14 Opinion For Trunk Gun

I have shot gimp arms. I need the short LOP to able me to pump the gun without taking it away from my shoulder. :)

And I love the Hogue stock.

These aren't new models. They are 870 clones same as the Grizzly .

Thanks, that's what I thought, but I knew there were some older models that weren't compatible and when I saw that these were going for $250, I had to wonder if something was different on them.

I think the model from Al Flaherty's has the polymer trigger guard, while the the Dominion Arms is aluminum i believe. Does that even really matter? I honestly don't know. I am interested in one of these as well. I'd lean towards the cheaper model and spend the difference on upgrades. $100+ is a large difference. Unless the 12.5" is more appealing to someone. Sigh...decisions.

You are likely thinking of the Norinco 780. That was a real POS. The Chinese redeemed themselves with the DA Grizzly and PDSB lines.

The DA guns initially came with metal guards, then they came with plastic, now this run has been metal again. Better or worse? Both are strong. The plastic flexes, which is a big advantage. The metal isn't the best quality. But metal is always nice. My 12.5" Grizzly and PD guns both have plastic guards.

OK cool. Thank you for the info. If you had to choose between the 12.5" and the 14", what would you pick. I'm having a hard time justifying the extra cost to have a slightly shorter barrel.

Both mine are 12.5". Personally, if I had a 14" I'd also need to get a +1 extension so the mag tube is flush with the muzzle. The 12.5" is flush already. So the extension would add an extra $50 to cost. But worth it IMHO. Otherwise, I'm happy with the 12s. I wouldn't turn down a 14" Remington barrel for a good price though.

Did both have tapped holes on top of the receiver?

If you are just getting the shotgun for a trunk gun ; I would not bother with up grades . Trunk and truck guns get used rough.....so the cheaper the better as they often end up as beater guns after banging around in the trunk for a period of time...
